What's new...| We have a new addition to the Desertrider family: we've acquired a 1972 Toyota Land Cruiser! This is going to be Claudia's vehicle, and we took it out the first time over between Christmas and New Year's on the trails in Arizona, north of Phoenix. It has a 2F engine with a 4-speed tranny, a 4" lift, 33" BFG MT tires, and air lockers front and rear. We've got rid of the stock front drum brakes and installed a bling disk brake kit from Man-A-Fre, and reworked the wiring a bit since the truck seems to house a few electrical ghosts or gremlins. This thing really works well on the trails, although it'll need power steering for the harder stuff, for which the drivetrain is certainly capable enough.
